She grew up in the San Antonio area, then went on to go to college and compete as a barrel racer on the rodeo team for Tarleton State University. After graduating with a bachelors in Business Administration and a minor in management, she came back down to San Antonio to get her real estate license. Having family close to her was important and since the Herrmanns hail from South Texas, San Antonio just made sense. Shelby lives on 20 acres with her 5 horses and still competes in rodeo.
